Meet the Teacher

Hello and welcome to first grade!  I am very excited to be your child's teacher this year at Hahntown Elementary School. 

 

I am a graduate of LaRoche College where I received a bachelor's degree in Elementary Education with a certification in Special Education.  I also have a master's degree in Special Education from Slippery Rock University.  This is my 17th year of teaching in the Norwin School District and my eighth year of teaching first grade.  My past teaching experience includes nine years as a special education teacher.

 

My husband, Tom, and I have two adult children.  We love to spend time in nature and especially enjoy hiking together.  Rooney, a black lab/golden retriever, is also a beloved member of our family.

 

I have been very fortunate to have worked with so many wonderful students and families throughout my teaching career and look forward to working with the amazing children and families in the first grade at Hahntown Elementary.  It is going to be a year filled with lots of learning and fun.
