Reading and Language Arts Information

We use Reading Wonders to teach reading, writing, grammar, and spelling. Our reading series is composed of 6 units. 

The students will have two different reading books. The smaller book is a workbook they will be reading and writing in.  We will use this book in class, during our Daily 5 stations, and it will come home weekly for your child to practice their reading skills, vocabulary, and more!

The second book is larger and is not sent home as frequently as the Reading/Writing Workshop book. This book provides a lengthier story with more difficult vocabulary and sentence structure. We use this book in class and during our stations.

I strongly encourage you to use the Reading Wonders website. This website provides you access to all the stories and skills the students are practicing for the week.
