Meet the Teacher

Growing up I always knew that I wanted to be a teacher! After graduating from Hempfield Area High School, I attended the University of Pittsburgh at Johnstown and majored in Elementary Education. Soon after working within the schools, I decided to continue my studies at Saint Vincent College to receive my Master’s Degree in Special Education.

This will be my ninth year teaching second grade, however it will be my twelfth year within the Norwin School District. I began my time at Norwin as a day-to-day substitute, and then continued my first year as an instructional aide. I was an instructional aide for four years as well as a long-term substitute teacher.

Outside of school I enjoy spending time with my family. My husband and I have two daughters. As a family we enjoy cheering on the Pittsburgh Penguins and spending time outdoors such as swimming, biking, and going to the beach in the summer. I also enjoy traveling, reading, decorating and trying out new DIY projects!
