Meet the Teacher

Welcome to the 2022-2023 school year! I am very excited to be your child's teacher!  I graduated from Geneva College in 2002 with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary and Special Education, and I received 24 reading specialist credits from Geneva as well.  When I first got hired at Norwin I taught learning support at Stewartsville Elementary.  After teaching learning support for 2 years, I moved on to teach second grade at Hahntown Elementary.  I spent 11 years teaching second grade, and this will be my sixth year in first grade! What I love about first grade is the growth I see in each student by the end of the year.  I look forward to a year of new friendships, learning, and growing together.

 

At the end of the school day I love coming home to my family.  I have a 14 year old son named Nolan, and an 11 year old named Griffin.  We love to ride bikes, play baseball, go camping, and be outside together as a family.  In my own free time I love to run, coach The Girls on the Run, and do yoga.
