Grade 2 Revisits the 50's!

On Friday, November 8, the second graders went back to the 50’s. They celebrated the 50th day of school! The students dressed in the fanciest poodle skirts, leather jackets, and denim jeans. The day was spent learning about the 50s, comparing life then to life now. The children participated in a hula hoop contest, a bubble gum blowing contest, built with Legos, learned the hand jive, the twist, and a few other dances. At the end of the day they all enjoyed root beer floats! It was a GROOVY day!
