My name is Johanna Belako, and I am so happy and excited to be your Elementary School Social Worker. Although I am new to Norwin School District, I have been a Social Worker for the last 23 years, helping and supporting children and families in many different modalities and environments. As a School Social Worker, I am a trained mental health professional who can help to provide the connection between home, school and the community. Social Workers provide direct support to students and school personnel. I have a passion for helping children and families manage daily stressors, ensuring basic needs are met, while assisting them in developing appropriate coping skills, interpersonal skills and the social-emotional development of children.
